August 4, 2008 - Full Compass Systems Officially Breaks Ground for its New 140,000 Square Foot FacilityMadison, WI – Monday, August 4, 2008, Jonathan and Susan Lipp, owners of Full Compass Systems, officiated over the groundbreaking ceremony marking the construction of their new 140,000 square foot building in the Silicon Prairie Park in Madison, Wisconsin. Madison Mayor David Cieslewicz and Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, local media, managers, builders, bankers, and developers attended the celebration.

August 4, 2008 - Madison Mayor David Cieslewicz and Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, local media, managers, builders, bankers, and developers attended the celebration.Full Compass, one of the nation's largest audio, video, A/V and lighting equipment retailers, (currently located in Middleton, Wisconsin) has experienced rapid growth over its 31 years and needs to expand yet again to accommodate the continuation of the exceptional customer service they have been known for.

In 1995 Full Compass moved from Madison to its existing building in Middleton WI. In 1998 that building was doubled in size.

Since the Middleton building is landlocked, the new Madison facility will more than double available space. The new building will include a sound equipment museum; two fully equipped production studios and an employee cafeteria with a full time chef will offer subsidized breakfasts and lunches. The building is being built on 15 acres, which will allow the facility to be doubled yet again.

August 4, 2008 - Jonathan & Susan Lipp Break Ground for a New Full Compass Building"We are incredibly excited to have achieved the growth that has brought us to this milestone in our history," President Susan Lipp stated, "The new building will provide the necessary room and amenities to allow us to continue focusing on delivering the highest quality of service for our customers."

CEO Jonathan Lipp added, "Our warehouse will be twice the size in the new building which will enhance our ability to increase on-hand inventory. Our nationwide customer base will benefit from a more complete line and more items with same-day shipping."

Construction is due to be complete in the spring of 2009.
