Rental Department Terms of Service

 

Shipping:

Many of our rental items can be shipped. The minimum billing period for rentals that are shipped is three days. The customer is responsible for round trip shipping costs. For your convenience, we typically will bill you for round trip shipping and include UPS pre-paid return ship tags with your shipment. Please let us know if you’d prefer to use your UPS, FedEx, or freight account.

Payment:

Payment of the rental fee, applicable taxes and security deposit is required by the start of the rental term. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Credit applications are available upon request and processing generally takes 2 to 4 weeks. Local customers may use the aforementioned payment methods as well as cash and checks. Proper identification is required.

Deposits:

Deposits are not required from customers with an established credit account with Full Compass Systems. A credit card is required as a deposit for customers lacking established accounts; otherwise a cashiers’ check or cash deposit for the full replacement value of the equipment is required. Personal checks cannot be accepted as a deposit.

Insurance:

The renter is wholly responsible for any loss or damage to the rental equipment during the rental period. Insurance coverage is not offered by Full Compass Systems, and is the responsibility of the renter. Proof of adequate coverage for the full replacement value of the equipment may be required prior to the rental.

Loss or Theft:

In the event of a total loss of an item for any reason, or if an item is not returned on or before the agreement expires, the renter will be liable for the full value of the equipment. Rent will be charged on equipment that is lost or stolen until Full Compass is reimbursed for the replacement cost. Late returns may result in further charges, not necessarily at the same rate.

Additional Charges:

The renter is fully liable for all damages to rental equipment. Equipment must be returned in the same condition as when it was signed out to avoid damage and/or cleaning charges. All cables must be neatly coiled and cleaned to avoid an additional fee. Rent may be charged on damaged equipment until the item can be repaired or replaced. Spare lamps are provided when needed. There is no charge for spare lamps, provided burnt-out lamps are returned. A charge will be incurred for missing or broken lamps or excessive burnouts. Gels and other expendables are not provided with equipment rental, and must be purchased separately.

Cancellations:

Cancellations not called in within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up/ship time will be charged for one day’s rental. Larger systems and long-term rentals will require 48 hours notice.

Delivery:

Delivery, set-up, operation and pick-up in the Madison, Wisconsin area is available. Please inquire about delivery & pick-up fees. The labor charge for set up, tear down, or operation of rental equipment is $50.00 per hour.

Equipment Performance:

The renter is expected to understand the operation and limitations of the equipment. Full Compass cannot be responsible when a renter is not capable of successfully operating rental equipment. Failure to understand equipment will not be accepted as reason for non-payment of rental charges. All equipment is tested before it is rented, but in the unlikely event of equipment failure, please notify a Full Compass rental associate as soon as possible to obtain tech support or replacement equipment.

Rental Credit Program:

80% of the rental fee can be used as a credit towards the purchase of new equipment within 30 days of the end of a rental period. Within 60 days, 30% can be applied. Restrictions apply.
