Looking For A
Weekly Bargain?

Coach Billick Looking for a WR?

If so, this is your report. Each week, you’ll find a cross section of studs and journeymen. In addition, you might even find a player that looks to be a real reach. Regardless of their current status, all the men on this report have one thing in common --- they all look to be bargains --- this week.

Note: this report does not override our Sortable Weekly Cheat Sheets. In fact, it’s based on it. Here we're highlighting the bargains --- players we likely have ranked higher than most of your competitors.

NFL Week #1

TONY ROMO vs. Giants (4for4 Weekly Rank = 3, Average Site = 7)
Romo's upgraded O-line should protect him and he'll take full advantage of the Giants weak CBs in this new pass-happy offense. Look for Romo to come out blazing and focused in on Owens.

ALEX SMITH vs. Cardinals (4for4 Weekly Rank = 7, Average Site = 17)
Heading into his third season in the league, Alex Smith may be ready to take the next step. Tight end Vernon Davis is healthy as is receiver Darrell Jackson. Smith has some new toys and will want to show them off. This game could be a shootout.

DAVID GARRARD vs. Titans (4for4 Weekly Rank = 10, Average Site = 21)

Now that he's the starting QB in Jacksonville, Garrard should at least jump onto the radar as a possible starter in the fantasy world. He had two pretty productive games last season against this week's opponent, Tennessee, throwing for 410 yards with four touchdown passes, while running for 57 yards as he out Vince Younged Vince Young in a pair of Jacksonville wins.

TRAVIS HENRY vs. Bills (4for4 Weekly Rank = 6, Average Site = 14)

The Broncos will want to control the clock with a second-year QB, so expect Henry to get plenty of touches against her former team. The Bills defense was 28th against the run last year, but got some help by acquiring tackle Darwin Walker from the Eagles and drafting LB Paul Posluszny. Count on Henry to lead your team by getting off to a good start with his new one.

EDGE JAMES vs. 49ers (4for4 Weekly Rank = 7, Average Site = 15)

James looked decent running behind Arizona's revamped offensive line and new coach Ken Whisenhunt wants to establish the running game. He's going to get 25 touches this week.

AHMAN GREEN vs. Chiefs (4for4 Weekly Rank = 12, Average Site = 21)

Health is the main issue for Green who has been banged up over the past two seasons. But he did rush for over 100 yards on four occasions in Green Bay in 2006 so he can still put up numbers. Green gets a fresh start with Houston and gets a good Week 1 matchup against a Chiefs defense that was 18th against the run in 2006. If you have him, he is a must start for Week 1.

LAMONT JORDON vs. Lions (4for4 Weekly Rank = 16, Average Site = 24)

If you bleed Silver and Black and feel compelled to start one Raider, let it be Lamont. Actually, even if you disdain the Raiders but drafted Jordan hoping he flashes back to 2005, this would be as good a week as any to play him. Dominic Rhodes is off in suspended animation and Lamont will carry the load against a rather uninspiring defense. Jordan obviously has a lot to prove after last season’s dismal campaign, but if you have a flex position available or other backs with rough opponents he’s definitely worth a start.

RANDY MOSS vs. Jets (4for4 Weekly Rank = 12, Average Site = 27)

The Jets still don’t have the type of corner that can lock-down Randy Moss. 64 yards off of a small handful of catches and possibly a TD to boot.

BERNARD BERRIAN vs. SD (4for4 Weekly Rank = 21, Average Site = 30)

SD will not blitz and go for the jailbreak rush as much as they did last year. That’s great news for deep threat Bernard Berrian. If he has time to get deep he could light it up, especially if the Bears are throwing 60% or more in the 2nd half playing catch up.
